Suggest Treatment For Red Spots On The Stomach

Hi I am visiting thailand since Jan 19 of this year. I recently got several red spots on my stomach in the last day or two. They are about an inch across and not really round or circular, more splotchy. They itch slightly but are definitely not mosquito bites. I am worried it is worms. I thought I saw one in my poop, and i asked my boyfriend if he thought it was a worm, but neither of us could determine what it was. It kind of just looked like a bean sprout, which I have been eating a lot of. That was 3 days ago, and I haven t seen anything unusual in my poop since then, so maybe not worms, but I m nervous. I am 5 7, 165lb, female with no notable health history.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red spots on the stomach which could be due to viral infection, improper hygiene and due to allergic reaction. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with paracetamol every 4 hourly. Maintain hydration of your body to replenish fluids. Take curd in diet. Start giving oral rehydration fluids sip by sip to maintain the hydration. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined. You should go for blood tests as well and start treatment after proper examination. Avoid touching or pricking rashes and give cold compresses to area.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
