Suggest Treatment For Redness And Tenderness On Injection Site

Yes so my wife and I are occasional recreational iv drug users.. I am not a doctor but I am a combat medic And have been trained in phlebotomy....I know I didn t miss on my wife cause I flagged or drew back to make sure cause she was saying it hurt....well after the fact it dawned on me that I may have hit artery.....I usually go in her left arm and ours not an issue....but two days have gone by and it s still red at injection site and hurts and is warm to the touch...reminds me of the beginning of an abscess....I told her to take some antibiotics she had from previous infection...not related to this matter

Hi,

Amocyclav for 7 days and local antiseptic cream or providing iodine disinfection or Soframycin cream etc., there is risk of HIV, hepatitis B, and psychic issues in these.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
