Suggest Treatment For Redness And Vaginal Itching

My girlfriend has a bad vaginal itch that started 7/12/15. The itch occasionally comes and goes but she just noticed redness of her vagina tonight. We may have thought it was a yeast infection at first so she tried using natural Greek yogurt on her to make it go away about 24 hours ago, re applying about 4 times throughout the day.
