Hello,

* The condition of acute balanitis need definite curative management with
- local cleaning with antiseptic liquid
- application of miconazole or other creams as per the dermatologist preference.
- systemic medications as antifungal
- fluconazole, antibiotics as penicillin or as per the clinical preference of GP
- hydration of adequate level
- control of blood sugar
- avoidance of vaginal sex or oral sex (if active)
- discuss the need of circumcision in case if the foreskin is not retracting over back fully (the most common cause of acute balanitis is phimosis)

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
