Hello,

Redness and discoloration around the eye can be caused by a number of different conditions, including infections, allergies, and injuries. Without a proper examination, it can be difficult to determine the exact cause of your husband's symptoms. However, based on your description, it's possible that your husband may be experiencing a recurrence of a previous eye infection or inflammation. If he was previously prescribed medication that helped to alleviate his symptoms, it's possible that he may need to restart that treatment.

I would recommend that your husband schedule an appointment with an ophthalmologist or an optometrist as soon as possible. These healthcare professionals specialize in diagnosing and treating eye conditions and can provide a more accurate diagnosis and treatment plan for your husband's symptoms.

In the meantime, your husband can try applying a warm compress to his affected eye for 10-15 minutes several times a day to help reduce inflammation and promote healing. He should also avoid rubbing or touching his eyes, as this can exacerbate symptoms and potentially spread any infection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

Redness in eyes is probably due to infection / inflammation. I suggest you to consult an ophthalmologist for clinical assessment, investigations and thus management. In the meanwhile, you can use a lubricant and use sun glasses to protect the eyes from light and dust.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
