Suggest Treatment For Redness On The Shaft And Head Of The Penis
I took septra yesterday, and within an hour a significant portion of my penis shaft and head became red and hurt to the touch. It looks almost like a burn. I stopped taking the medication, took a couple Benadryl s, and have put 1% hydrocortisone cream on it. It there anything else that I can do?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The problems you are facing related skin on the shaft and head of the penis could be due to allergic skin reaction. Kindly do the following to overcome it. 1. Wash the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice daily. 2. Apply Hydrocortisone cream after it is dry. 3. Apply moisturizer cream or lotion containing natural ingredients like Aloe vera at bedtime. 4. Take Tablet.Levocetrizine once a day. Wear loose undergarments to provide good ventilation and avoiding friction. Keep the area under good hygiene. Gradually, the symptoms should subside and should get better. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
