Suggest Treatment For Regurgitation And Vomiting Of Food In Child
Hi my 20 year old daughter has been regurgitating her food for about 1.5 to 2 years now and she has now lost most of her muscle mass. I don t believe she is bulimic because it comes up so fast that she ends up throwing it up in to the sink in our kitchen or a cup.
You have not mentioned anything whether this regurgitation occurs all the day or for some special food, like solid or liquid. Is there a normal apetite? You also did not mentioned whether there is associated pain or not and this occurs after how much time of taking food. These will be necessary for a diagnosis. This kind of symptoms may be due to a lot of diseases. Kindly do an ultrasono of upper abdomen and straight x-ray chest(pa) to rule out esophageal or gastric abnormalities. An upper endoscopy may also be needed to help diagnosis.
