Suggest Treatment For Respiratory Infection

My son who is 3 months old having respiratory infection my family doctor suggest me to give cepotoxime 50 DT Half tablet twice daily for 4 days. Even complete the my son din't came under control. Now what should i do? should i increase the dose or i have change the Drug?

What are the syptoms? Is it pnemonia or plain cough n cold? If pneumonia we need to continue antibiotic ..may need another one..if plain cough and cold give timinic drops, mucolyte drops n crocine syp...u can start steam inhalation...
