Suggest Treatment For Right-sided Lump On Rib Cage And Discomfort In Upper Abdomen

Hi my name is Carmen; I m 52 years old menopausal, and for last for months I been feeling a hard lump just below my right side of my rib cage, and discomfort at my upper abdomen on right side, Last month I started to get my menstrual after 10 years. My Gyn order at cat scan of the pelvic area; (but I had no concerns about my pelvic area) everything appears normal, he stated it was an onset of my menstrual and has placed me on prempro hormonal meds. But I m still concern about the lump below my right side of my rib cage as well as on my back around my bra line.

Hello,

Discomfort on the right side due to feeling of a lump is commonly enlarged liver, hepatomegaly. The other medical condition manifesting such a symptom is osteoblastoma, a rare tumor on the thoracic cage or rib.

Lump along the braline can be a cyst due to use of underwire bra. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get CBC, Urinalysis, Imaging tests (X-ray, CT, MRI) done to detect the factor causing you discomfort. The treatment will depend on the clinical condition & reports of the investigations obtained.
