Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

You share a picture of the same? and what drug was given?

Ringworm/fungal infection of skin will respond to topical anti fungal ointments like clotrimazole, applied twice daily.

Treatment has to continued for a 4 weeks to avoid recurring. If no response after 1 week, this suggest resistance and we need to change to a different drug.

For severe cases, I used to give concurrent oral treatment also. Kindly discuss with your doctor.

Meanwhile, keep the area always clean and dry. Moisture promotes fungal growth.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK
