Suggest Treatment For Rise In BP Level In An Elderly Person

My mom is 79 years old, has gout that is under control without medication and takes medication for blood pressure. For the past two weeks her blood pressure has been going up and down. The doctor did a blood test and said everything was fine except her sodium was low. She feels fine right now, but last night when her blood pressure was 180/60 she felt like she was having a hot flash. She has been having trouble sleeping at night and lays awake. Tonight she has a blood pressure of 192/69. What might be causing this? And should I take her to the hospital?
