Suggest Treatment For Runny Nose And Coughing Up Of Mucus

Hi Im a singer and for over a year now i have had trouble with my lower register. it sounds like its vibrating. It sounds and feels like my vocal chords are some how blocked up with mucus so the notes cant come out clearly. its very embarrassing. I perform regularly and it is seriously affecting my performances. Is there any way to clear it? i also cough up a lot of mucus daily and get a runny nose. Are they affiliated?

Hi,

It appears from your description that you are having allergic reactions affecting the upper respiratory tract.

Kindly take the following to overcome the symptoms you are having.
1. Do salt water gargling with warm water thrice daily.
2. Take steam inhalation twice daily.
3. Take a tablet containing Levocetirizine and Montelukast.
4. Take syrup containing Ambroxol. This would would help you to expel mucus as it has mucolytic and mucokinetic action.

Gradually, as the allergy subsides, you should feel better and be back to normal.
