Suggest Treatment For Sacroiliac Joint Tuberculosis
I am suffering from sacroiliac joint tuberculosis. I feel terrible pain all day, not able to walk since 2 months. Medication is going on to cure the infection( puss) in that area but I see no improvement in pain. Not able to put pressure on right leg at all. Please suggest.
Sacroiliac joint tuberculosis usually responds to medications. 2 to 3 months into the medication course you are expected to have significant pain relief. If you still continue to have pain and you have completed around 3 months of medication, it would be better to get a repeat MRI and see the radiological response. If on MRI there is evidence of healing you can continue the medications for 3 more months and see for pain relief.
Hope this helps.
All the best. regards,
Dr.SBK
