Suggest Treatment For Scab Inside Nostrils

i have been having scabs inside my left nostrils for the last 3 weeks now went to see a doctor and he gave me some ointment but still not well :((( is it because from my cold? i have been suffering from cold and been blowing so hard ... its been uncomfortable and painful and bleeds when im trying to remove it please advice thanks

Hi Thank for asking to HCM.
Myself Dr Karade ENT Specialist.
Yes it is because of cold which causes itching in nose result in blowing of nose & itching by finger nail causing trauma & crust formation.
Here i advice you cut all your nails , maintain proper hygiene of hands & continue antibiotic ointment. Also use saline nasal drop to dislodge crust , Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Leukotriene antagonists Montelukast combination to prevent cold with itching & Macrolide Antibiotic .
Certainly above treatment will give you much relief but if relief is not upto satisfaction level then consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential.
