Suggest Treatment For Scars After Breast Reduction
Hello, yes I do have a question..A year ago I did a breast reduction and put silicone with a doctor in Brazil. But unfortunately I had culoide in almost all my scar, especially around my whole areola. I wonder if there is any treatment to alleviate those scars?
Noted your short history of surgery for breast reduction, insertion of silicone in Brazil, but developed kelloid all along the scar. Yes this can surely be treated. There are local applications ranging from preparations made by Pharmaceutical companies to home-remedy like apply and light massaging with equal amounts of honey and Vaseline, this worls fantastic. Second option is oral or local steroids. Third line of management is surgery to remove and refashion the scar. Please discuss this with a Plastic Surgeon and go for the management as per his advise.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
