Suggest Treatment For Scoliosis Of The Spine

Hello, I have scoliosis in the top of my back (slight hump) and lately it has been causing me a lot of pain. If I go to an urgent care facility will they prescribe me a pain med? I have tried tylenol, motrin, aleve and none of them work. I am in so much pain. It even tingles if I stand for more than ten minutes.

Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hi,

Pain due to scoliosis is not uncommon. As you have already tried pain medication, I suggest you take some intra articular or inter facet joint injections. These are to be given by professionals. I suggest you to consult a spine surgeon or a pain medicine specialist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
