Suggest Treatment For Seboreic Keratosis All Over Scalp

I have seboreic(sic) keratosis all over my scalp. Doctor prescribed Clobetasol topical solution twice daily for 2 weeks. I did not use as prescribed but only as needed. It is a steroid and I wonder if it can harm me when used as prescribed. I am an 86 year old female.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history of Seborrheic Keratosis, my treatment advice is:

1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than 30.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it to prevent infection.
3. Only curative treatment is either radio-frequency or laser ablation done by a dermato-surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
