General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are completely normal after a laparoscopy.

They are related to the inhaled gas in the abdomen during the procedure.

These symptoms may last 3 or 4 days after the procedure and usually go away on its own.

If they continue for more than a week you can do a chest x ray for further evaluation.

Meanwhile, I suggest to use painkillers such as Acetominophen for the pain.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
