I had a bit of a soar throat and a temp of 100.8 so my doctor prescribed Amoxicillin but I told her the Amoxicillin hasn t really helped me in the past it s like I ve become immune to it but she didn t know what else to give me so she told me to try it if it doesn t help go to the hospital. So I started taking it but the next morning I went to the bathroom had a BM but after going, i started having really bad abdominal pain but I couldn t go anymore but i was in a lot of pain. I ve had abdominal pain before because I ve had constipation problems for a long time and I take Myralax for it but I ve never had abdominal pain like this before I even got chills and felt nauseous. So then I take tylenol with codine which is what I take daily for my hip and back pain and the abdominal pain goes away until the next morning it starts all over again. I go to the bathroom and I start having abdominal pain until I take the Tylenol/ codine. So after taking the Amox for three days I figured maybe it s the Amox because I was fine until I started the Amox and so I stopped taking it. Do you think it s the Amoxicillin that s causing me to have the abdominal pains or could it be something else? I was thinking of going to the hospital tomorrow if the pain still continues, but I really don t want to have to go unless I really have to. But I mean if it s something else like infection or appendicitis I would have a fever and constant pain, blood in stool and vomiting right? but I don t, my temp is 97.9 no nausea or anything and soar throat is gone. Should I go to the hospital or wait a day or two and see if the pain goes away?
