I have had abdominal pain for last seven months. Drs finally running tests but not sure they re requesting the tests needed to diagnose problem. Can I insist on certain tests or do I have to follow their protocol? I m afraid that the delay in figuring the problem is causing the symptoms to worsen. And possibly doing irreparable damage. I getting frustrated and and missing a lot of time from work due to the symptoms: upper right abdominal pain that worsens but is always present. Constant nausea. Loose stools that change in consistency. Dizziness and spaciness. Vision is blurred. Constant headaches. Have been told I have GERD and small hiatus hernia and a cyst on my pancreas so far. MRIs and CT scans and X-rays as well as several radiology tests. They don t seem concerned that I m completely incapacitated with all this. Have another mri on pancreas scheduled in a few days. Have wanted to go to ER on several occasions due to the pain and dizziness. I seriously am having doubts about the quality of care I m receiving. Any suggestions?
