Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain And Hernia
My 18 yo grandson has been having left upper quadrant abdominal pain that I have been suspicious of a hernia. He is scheduled for a sports physical on Friday and will have it checked then. But today he had bright red blood in his stool. I m thinking that it probably is a hemorrhoid, but just wondering if you thought it would be something else that should be checked out right away. Thank you.

Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain And Hernia
Hi, The blood in stool could be due to colitis like infective condition or piles. The local rectal examination by proctoscopy helpful in rule out piles. If piles, fissure, polyp-like rectal or anal pathology not present than infective etiology should be ruled out by stool routine micro examination. According to cause specific treatment given. I suggest you consult a nearby physician for detailed evaluation and discuss all these approaches. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
