Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain And Vomiting
Yes sir. My aunt has had severe abdominal pain and vomiting. She has also had a loose stool. This has happened once before and she went to the ER at the hospital They took tests but did not find any problem. This is occurring again. Doctor, do have any idea what the problem could be? Thank you for your assistance.
The symptoms you have mentioned sound like a gastric infection. These often present with abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.
In case the regular therapy is not working, you might need a stool culture. The stool culture and sensitivity would help identify the bacteria and which antibiotic would help eliminate the bacteria.
It may take the full course of antibiotics to get treated. In case the symptoms do not resolve, please see your doctor again.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
