Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain In An Elderly Person

my husband 72 years old severe abdominal pain 12 hours (on and off) but on for last 2 hours. No fever, no nausea, no vomiting. Feels like he needs to pass gas. Gave him 3 Tums 1 hour ago for gas. Had benign tumor removed from spleen/colon February 2008. Spleen completely removed. Small bit of colon. He is controlled diabetic on meds; has chronic ..... leukemia.

The symptoms seem to be related to bloating.

I suggest using Simethicone medications for the bloating.

I also suggest using daily probiotics.

I recommend eating a fiber-rich diet and drink liquids.
