Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain

I was in urgent care yesterday for severe abdominal pain. So bad I was doubled over it pain. It came on out of nowhere. It subsided a lot when at urgent care. They did a blood and urine test which both came back normal and they sent me home. Ever since then the pain has been dull and constant. Any suggestions on what it could be or what I should do next?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pancreatitis, gall stone or chronic gastritis can be responsible for causing constant pain in the abdomen.

You can be prescribed rabeprazole like antacid for symptomatic relief.

Avoid gastric irritants like excess spicy foods, smoking, excess stress etc. Cooked oatmeal help in the soothing stomach.

If no improvement with antacid than endoscopy can be planned.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
