Suggest Treatment For Severe Acid Reflux

I have acid reflux and I just vomited and i think that I suck some of it into my lungs. My throat is burning and my lungs are also. I coughed to the point that my head was hurting. I feel better now but wanted to know if I should go to the hospital to be checked out.

Hello dear
I understand your concern

Your symptoms could be a acid reflux that sometime aspirate in the lung and produce cough and burning sensation.
I advise you to consult the gastroenterologist and undergo the following investigations:
esophagogastroduodenoscopy, esophageal pH monitoring, barium x-ray to rule out the acid reflux problem.
Doctor will give following advises:
Avid food that increase acid productions: tea, coffee, citrus, carbonated beverages, spicy and fatty food
Avoid food that increase gas like high fiber diet beans, pulses, cabbage, corn
Tablet esmoprazole 30 minutes before meal three times/day
Tablet metoclopramide on empty stomach twice daily
Take tablet gasex thrice a day
Take above treatment for the 7 days.
Do not go to bed just after eating.
During rest make the angle of the 45 degree by putting pillow behind the neck and back.
Do regular exercise like walking and yoga
Hope this may help you
