Suggest Treatment For Severe Ankles Pain

Hi Dr Rynne, I have been having moderate to severe pain on the back of both ankles. Right ankle is worse with stinging and burning pain. Also, I am very stiff in both ankles in the morning. Pain is on and off during the day. Pain is alleviated if I lift foot up but continues when foot is on ground again. I have been wearing good support shoes-New Balance-and have placed heel cups as per my Dr s suggestion. This has not helped. This pain started rather suddenly about 2 months ago. I exercise regularly by walking, and have always maintained a healthy weight and diet. Any input you may offer will be greatly appreciated. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank You in advance, Carolyn

Try using and ankle support cap. It would help. And use comfortable footwear, that are soft and a little above the ground, but not the regular heels.
