Suggest Treatment For Severe Anxiety And Depression While On Celexa

My wife has been admitted to the hospital with anxiety, chemical imbalance and depression . She was first prescribed Celexa which she was on for 3 weeks with little or no effect. She was then switched over to Zoloft for 2 more weeks, still no results. The doctorhas now switched her over to Atarax as of this morning. One of the major side effects is shaky hands. She is also taking Seroquel to help her sleep, any suggestions? We re to meet with the doctor in the morning to see what else he has in mind. As of today, she s been the hospital 44 days.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Avoid unwanted stress and anxiety. Relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation can help a bit.

If symptoms persist better to consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
