General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It does sound like you have a generalized anxiety disorder, and depending on the severity of the paranoia, may be related to a personality disorder or another psychiatric disorder.

I would be hard to say whether spinal meningitis at 8 months old could be related to this or not, I do not know of any studies that have looked at this, but I certainly think it is possible.

Regardless, I would recommend that you be under the care of a psychiatrist if you are not already.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
