I dislocated my hip 20+ years ago when i was a child. I had surgery to correct it and as of now have no hardware in my body. Over the last few months my arthritis has been acting up severely. I have had 1 steroid injection and scheduled to have another directly in the hip joint next week. My orthopedic told me that because I dislocated once, even though it was so long ago, i would more likely dislocate an artificial one so my only option is a hip fusion. I m an active 33 year old female. My question Is should I get a 2nd option or is that really the case.
