Suggest Treatment For Severe Asthmatic Attacks

I was just released from the hospital, I am having breathing problems. I have asthma but this seems to be all the time. I have been using my nebulizer twice a day and getting a lot of stuff up. I want to know why I am having such a hard time breathing just walking from room to room.

Hi,

Noted your history of discharged from hospital, known asthmatic, still have breathlessness.
Since you have asthma and the breathlessness is still there in spite of nebulization mean the following:
Bronchospasm that cause asthma is still not under control.
There may be associated problems in atmosphere, allergy, local problems like respiratory tract infection.
Hence get all the relevant tests, investigations of PFT that is pulmonary function tests.
Proper oral medications like Deriphyllin, steroids when needed, inhalers with salbutamol and steroid should help you a lot.
The main aim is to keep the airways fully opened so that you do not get any breathlessness.
Also see that Hemoglobin is well maintained.
Keep away from all allergens that cause asthma.
Use Ionizers in office and home to keep down the dust.
All these together will help you to have well improved life.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
