Suggest Treatment For Severe Back Pain And Increased Heart Beat

Woke up one morning a week ago with serious low back pain and racing heart. My resting pulse is normally in the mid-50s, but now it is 120-130 bpm (not pounding). My breathing is normal when resting but I get winded easily from mild exertion. Everything was normal prior to waking up that morning, but since then the back pain and fast heart rate have continued without change. Today I am now noticing a mild fever.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Fever and infection can cause an increase in heart rate, so this may be the cause for you.

If it continues when you are well then you need to see your doctor for assessment which would include examination, an ECG and possibly blood tests such as a full blood count and thyroid function test.

I hope this helps
