Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I did a back flip yoga exercise and sprained my back. I was treated for diaphragm spasm that presented with terrible back pain. The chiro handled it pretty well but I noticed that back ache continues, though not as severe, and my abdomen is protruding, like I'm 5 months pregnant, and this just started with the spasms.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe back pain which is causing discomfort and giving you symptoms which radiates along the path of the sciatic nerve, which branches from your lower back through your hips and buttocks and down each leg. Need not to worry. You should avoid doing excessive physical exercises. I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order X-ray , MRI , CT scan and electromyography. Doctor may prescribe anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxant, tricyclic antidepressants and anti-seizure medications. Doctor may also recommend physical therapy along with steroid injection and surgery .
