Hello,
For severe bladder infection you are suggested to get clinically examined by a
Urologist. Get
Urinalysis (R/E & C/S) done. In the meantime, take plenty of water orally. You can also take syrup Alkacirtran, 10 ml in half cup of water at least twice daily.
You will need antibiotics after the report of your lab test is attained. Take care of your personal hygiene, avoid sex for a couple of days. Do not use public washrooms or toilets. Do not share your toiletries. If chronic infection is detected your treating doctor may ask you to get few imaging tests done.
Water retention commonly causes swollen feet or ankle. You are suggested to get blood tests to detect RA, OA,
gout,
kidney issues, etc. Cut on carbohydrates, salty food. Take balanced home made food & avoid addictions if any. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
