Suggest Treatment For Severe Bruising On The Left Leg
BI am 74 & have serious bruising whole left leg & am flying to Australia on Tuesday. I am treated for mild heart failure have had a Sorin valve & am on warfRin & aspirin Should I go to London clinic & get my leg checked out before Tuesday? Thank you Annabelle I am a bit overweight & my left leg is considerably larger than my right leg due to 2 falls recently caused by genuine tripping - didn t see gutter for one & fell after collapsing from taking co codamol for the second Not brain disease
The bruises can be due to bleeding because of the trauma and also the use of the warfarin and aspirin. On the other hand it is safer to have a visit with your doctor and rule out other conditions due to the fact that the leg is swollen and the bruise is affecting all the leg.
You need to make sure your INR check is normal (which checks the effect of warfarin in your body) and you are not having bleeding due to higher dose of warfarin which might cause risk for serious bleeding and also the doctor might need to rule out the deep vein thrombosis as the cause of the swelling.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Antoneta Zotaj,
