Suggest Treatment For Severe Burning In Vagina Due To Possible Yeast Infection

Hi, for the past 3 or 4 days I have been having a burning sensation in my vagina when I pee or have sex. I read online that it is most likely a yeast infection, so I got a doctor recommended kit at the grocery store and used it. I inserted an ovule into me and that caused no discomfort but white stuff oozing around the vulva. I then used the wipes that were provided and applied to provided cream to my vulva. However, I am now experiencing EXTREME discomfort and burning without even peeing. Is this a yeast infection? What do I do?

Vaginitis may be due to bacterial of fungal causes. You have not mentioned which kit you are using.
Bacterial vaginitis responds well by taking metronidazole 500mg twice daily for 7days along with 2%clindamycin cream locally at vagina. Whereas tab fluconazole 150mg once orally along with clotrimazole 2% cream 5g intravaginally for 3days help to combat fungal infection.
There is also a chance of urethritis which has same kind of symptoms. It should have to be differentiated clinically or by investigations. Presence of both may also be a chance. Supperadded urinary tract infections may also be there. Its recommended to take plenty of water. Avoid sex or use proper contraceptive like condom. Avoid any vaginal irritants like spermicidal powder.
If the symptoms are increasing by time or developed fever, pain lower abdomen there is a chance of pelvic inflammatory diseases. It has many complications if not properly treated. So if there is any problem please visit a physician for proper diagnosis.
