Hi, I was hit hard in the middle of my chest in between by brests and I had a sharp pain directed to the very center of my chest ever since and it hurts more when I breath, twist, or get up from a sitting or laying position. It still hurts even though it has been a full 48 hours. Also there is no brusing that I can see. Any ideas?
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM. You are having blunt chest trauma due to hit hard on your chest. And your chest pain is mostly due to musculoskeletal cause. But following are the complications of blunt chest trauma that can cause chest pain. 1. Rib fracture 2. Pulmonary contusions 3. Pneumothorax 4. Muscular injury. So get done chest x ray to rule out above mentioned conditions. If x ray is normal then mostly you are having muscular pain. So follow these steps for better symptomatic relief. 1. Avoid heavyweight lifting. 2. Avoid strenuous exercise. 3. Avoid bad posture and movements in sleep. 4. Start painkiller and muscle relaxant. 5. Apply warm water pad on affected site. Don't worry, you will be alright.
