Hi and pleased to answer you
If we are talking about constipation that has always existed, it is a naturally lazy bowel because too long or having abnormal functioning of the muscle contractions. In this case, it will be necessary to ensure throughout your life to eat high-fiber, to drink enough water to do sports and to avoid any prolonged sedentary.

On the other hand, with regard to any form of recent constipation, in 80% of cases, it is simply because one does not eat enough vegetables, fruits, whole grains - but also because That we do not drink enough water and that we are too sedentary. Stress, pressure, changes in habit can also, occasionally disrupt the transit. This is called functional constipation.

But in 20% of cases, and there is what is called an organic cause, that is to say an anatomical anomaly or a pathology. The first reason a physician must think about recent constipation is the existence of a tumor in the colon that slows the progression of the stool (benign tumor like a simple polyp, or malignant tumor like a cancer). For this, a number of arguments can be used to guide such a diagnosis: blood in the stool, recurrent abdominal pain and always in the same place, weight loss, a family history of digestive cancer or Multiple polyps. Anyway, in the slightest doubt and especially if the subject is more than 50 years old, it is necessary to do a colonoscopy: this one has returned normal for you which eliminates already the organic cause.
it there may be many other causes: the consequence of taking a medication, a thyroid gland that does not work well, a diabetes condition. It is up to the physician to decide on the necessary exploratory examinations depending on the context.
For your medical treatment, as I suspect a naturally lazy bowel, I’ll give you a drug that increase bowel contraction, like the metoclopramide 10 mg tablet, 1tablet ½ hour before 3 main meals, and you continue drinking enough water and by taking fiber contents.
Best wishes
