Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am drinking alot of water because I was told I am dehydrated. I always drink alot of water and tea, but my skin is still dry and I am constipated. I pee alot though. Like water just go through me. The last time my urine was tested, there s blood and was positive for calcium oxalate.
Dry skin and chronic constipation may be due to hypothyroidism. Go for serum free T3, free T4 & TSH. High fiber diet is also needed for a regular bowel movement. Ispaghula husk 2 tablespoon in a glass of water is a useful fibre supplement.
Presence of blood in urine along with calcium oxalate crystals point towards the possibility of calcium oxalate stone in the urinary tract.
USG (ultrasonography) of KUB (kidneys, ureters and bladder) area won't be out of place.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Tushar Kanti Biswas,
