Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough Along With Phelgm
I have had a mucousy cough for 4 weeks now, was at the WIC a week ago Thurs. as thought I had pneumonia again. The Dr at clinic said it was just a viral thing , my lungs are clear. Cannot stop producing mucous. Feels like there is something in my throat and when I cough and bring up a clot of phlem, I feel my breathing is much better! I have even avoided milk for 4 weeks as I heard it creates more mucous.
Hi...Can understand your concern,...As per your query about having more mucous and phlegm can be due to infected sinuses after a cold or flu attack and can be due to post nasal drip from sinuses...Since lungs are clear you need not to worry..You should take antibiotic like amoxicillin for 4 -5 days with steam inhalation...It will help you relieve from mucus formation.. If not getting relief you should consult a physician. hope the information helpsyou.Takecare.
