Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough And Cold

Hi, In the first few months of the year I got hit with two colds one after the other and had a bad cough for a month. After this cleared up I noticed that only at night when I lay on my side, there would be a click or pop mid-inhale when I was breathing. It would not start straight away and seems to go away after 10 mins or so. It is only when breathing normally, if I take a deep breath there is nothing.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The small click while breathing is diversely called rale. It is related to the presence of inflammation in the bronchi. I suggest doing a chest X-ray to help through the diagnosis. Meanwhile, I suggest using a mucolytic to dissolve the mucus in the respiratory tract.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
