Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough And Fever In An Infant
My baby is 7months.. she had severe cough n fever.. fever is gone.. still she has cough..we had admitted her,thy had given iv antibiotics n nebulization..on discharge doctor advised syrup clavum 3.5ml..I noticed after giving baby is having loosemotions..plz advice doctor..
Antibiotics may cause diarrhea due to killing normal bacterial flora. This is something you will need to let your doctor know. Meanwhile, you may give her some enterogermina (normal bowel flora) daily to help restore the bowel bacteria. If blood or mucus is present in stools or if she looks unwell, you will need to have her checked urgently.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards,
