Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough And Irregular Heartbeats
I have been having a hacking cough since september and also a fluttering irregular heartbeat the last month. My doc changed my blood pressure medicine that coincides with the fluttering or rapid heartbeat. She took away HTZ that was coupled with Lisenipril. I have been taking HTZ for 25 years. I had a chest xray in September because I had bronchitis.
Your cough is mainly due to lisenipril drug as a side effect. You need to have another class of anti hypertensive drugs. But it can be suggested only after knowing your blood pressure readings. It is advisable for you to follow your doctor's advise. Make sure you visit a general physician. Even fluttering feeling which is also known as palpitations can be a side effect, this can be evaluated further by taking a ECG.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Suhas Chauhan
