Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough And Runny Nose

Good evening.
I lost my voice the day before yesterday. Last night I began to cough. During the early hours I awoke to heavy coughing and runny nose. The course of the day I have this terrible terrible headache when I cough and or when I stand up that makes me tense up and sit back down immediately..........
I have no insurance. Anything I can or should do?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that you have an Upper Respiratory tract infection leading to loss of voice or Laryngitis and runny nose, coughing and headache..
I would suggest you to start taking antibiotics like Azithromycin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, mucolytics like Ambroxol, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room..
Take cough suppressants containing Dexamethorphan and guaifenesin..
Suck throat lozenges and chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
In case of no improvement in a week consult a Pulmonologist and get evaluated..
