Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough And Wheezing

My son is 1yr 11months old he is having severe cough and wheezing sound since 5days and we have given him Alex junior for 4days still he didn t recover.so we went to doctor and he gave nebuliser 2 times and suggested levo salbutamol sulphate 1mg/5ml(levolin) syrup for 3 days thrice and omnacortil( prednisolone sodium phosphate solution 5mg/5ml) thrice for 7days.is it safe to use these drugs for my child.please help I m so tensed.thank you.
