Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough With Yellow Sputum
I have been coughing for at least three months now. My cough is usually productive with clear, yellow, and gray mucus. I am 34 weeks pregnant so when I went to urgent care last month, no xray was done, but I was told I was fine. Absolutely nothing relieves the cough. Yesterday my left lung began to hurt whenever I coughed, but that is the only time it hurts. I am very short of breath sometimes and I feel like it s more than just being pregnant. Sometimes my breaths are clear and sometimes they are not. Could it be pneumonia? And if I go to urget care again can they treat it without doing an xray?

Hi, Thanks for the query. I have read & understood your query. Ideally with the history you are narrating about your cough (Productive yellow, grey cough/ pain in lungs/ breathing difficulty & pregnancy).. ideally you should see a chest specialist for through physical examination/ investigations ( X ray, CBC, sputum culture & sensitivity ) _ & his expert advise for management. Thanks.
