General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Please find my observations below.

1. Cough for more than 8 weeks which is not improving with usual remedy is to be evaluated in detail. You should consult a pulmonologist doctor who is a lung specialist.

2. A chest X-ray or chest CT scan is required to know about any lung condition which you are suffering from. Sputum test and blood test is also required for a detailed analysis.

3. If you are also having fever, weight loss and tiredness for 8 weeks then tuberculosis is one of the conditions which is to be evaluated. Please do not ignore your health

Hope your query is answered. Please write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
