Suggest Treatment For Severe Dandruff With Itching On The Body

I m 40 years old. I m having severe dandruff problems, with scales being formed on the rear side and inside of my ears. Also since 2 weeks, I ve been experiencing severe itching all over my body. One day, the itching was very severe on my face that the area where my facial hair was, got dark in color for some time. Now it s just the itching on my head and the scaly flakes. What might be my condition could you please advice.

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of severe dandruff with itching on the body which seems to be due to genetic factor, fungal infection and hormonal changes. In your case, it seems to me that the hormonal factor or fungal infection is responsible.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you consult a trichologist for proper examination. The doctor may order skin patch test, blood test and physical examination and prescribe supplements like Omega-3 and Vitamin E. Doctor may prescribe minoxidil, which can be directly applied to the scalp. Drink plenty of fluids. Avoid itching and pricking rashes.
