Hello,
I am sorry for the loss you are suffering from. It is quite understandable how hard it could be on you to lose your son while you two had shared too much in life.
However, life goes on and time heals every wound. Even though you may feel healing is impossible, it is possible, though it may take time and patience. Try to engage yourself in activities that interests you other than job like gardening, reading, listening to music, knitting etc. Make plan with friends to meet and go out. Join a support group that can help you to cope up with the loss. Such groups are available online or can be joined by help of churches, hospital etc. Exercise regularly, eat healthy food and try to sleep well. What has happened cannot be changed, but you can make your routine better.
Suicide is never an option, otherwise it would be legal. You have to keep trust in yourself for healing and living a better life.
The medicines you have been prescribed will help you with knee problem along with
depression. However, if you feel that you are not getting antidepressant effects of the medicine after 3 weeks, you can contact a charity organization in your area who can help you find a
psychiatrist with low cost to prescribe you medicines that can help you to deal with the loss.
I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Let me know if you have follow up questions.
Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
