Suggest Treatment For Severe Depression

My son is on several meds for depression and and other emotional problems. Recently they added another med that was supposed to act like a buffer. The next day he noticed that he couldn t read, as his eyesight was causing problems. He stayed on it for another days, and he continued to lose more eyesight. He felt that it was caused by the new med, so he quit taking it. His eyesight started to return. I think the name of the med was cog-----, and so I found one that looked like what my son had tried to spell out. What types of side effects does it have?

Hi,

The mainstay of depression treatment are cognitive behavioral therapy.

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI), antidepressants, and anxiolytics may also help.
