Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had several diarrhea type bowel movements for several hours and have taken a scant tablespoon of Pepto Bismo after each movement equaling four doses that have not helped much. I think an overuse of frying foods and cooking with Organic Coconut Oil may have triggered the diarrhea. What should I eat/take to help cure the problem? Thanks for all help. Virginia A. Hamilton.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chronic severe diarrhoea. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food intolerance , food allergy, bacterial or viral infection, parasitic infection or inflammatory bowel disease. Need not to worry. You should take plenty of fluids. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like ornidazole , albendazole , omeprazole along with loperamide. You should avoid intake of outside of food. You should take banana daily. For now eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana .
